After Bhaktapur you will visit Panauti. This is a small, but beautiful traditional Newari agricultural town. Local folklore mentions that Panauti was an offering from a King of Bhaktapur to his sister as a dowry gift. Surrounded by green hills and holy rivers, this spiritual town is full of both Hindu and Buddhist temples. Thus, Panauti is considered a hidden gem of Nepal.
We will have lunch in Panauti Community Homestay, a project established by the local women of Panauti. This is a great opportunity to experience Nepalese local lifestyle, experience its authentic hospitality and taste the local food as well as supporting and motivating local women-entrepreneurs just by our appreciation of their local culture and tradition.
