Managing Director

Shiva Dhakal is the managing director of a group of companies in the tourism sector, including hotels, restaurants, travel magazines, a leading developer and provider of community-based tourism experiences and a tour operator in Nepal. All of the ventures in the group have the mission of empowering local communities through tourism and hospitality. Some of them have been recognized internationally by organizations such as Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT). In 2020, Shiva Dhakal was recognized as one of the 40 global leaders in Sustainable Tourism by Global Shapers.

Over the years, as our business evolved, so did our understanding of how tourism can be used as a force for good. Since 2012, we have been focusing our efforts on bringing more local actors into the tourism value chain.
